Fuel Assistance

Through Community Concepts

The Low Income Heating Assistance Program (LIHEAP) serves Oxford & Androscoggin counties.

If you are in need of fuel assistance you should contact Community Concepts at 1-800-866-5588.  A representative from Community Concepts will be available at the Porter Town Hall every Wednesday from 9am to 3pm during the months of September and October to assist you.  You must call to schedule an appointment.

built town hall.

The latest recipient of the Boston Post Cane is Ferdinand "Nundi" Romano.  Nundi has been a resident of Porter for over 45 years and is a former Principal of Sacopee Valley High School.

 Transfer Station News

Beginning on January 1, 2017 a new price list will be in effect for items other than household trash.  Click below to view the new price list.  Also after this date, if you do not have a valid station sticker, you will be turned away.



If you notice a street light is out, please notify the Town office with the pole number and location so we can contact CMP to get it repaired.


New dog licenses are available now for all dogs six months and older.  Please bring current Maine Rabies & Neuter/Spay certificate, if applicable. **As of January 31, 2017 there will be a $25.00 late fee .

It is illegal for dogs, licensed or unlicensed to run at large.


  We have open positions on the  Appeals Board.  If you are interested, please stop in the Town Office for more details.
